Ruthann Ligon

Ruthann Ligon is a student at Pennsylvania State University MGIS program. Ruthann has a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Languages from Mount Holyoke College. She received her first introduction to GIS while working on an archaeological survey project in Sikyon, Greece in which ground penetrating radar was used to ascertain the layout of the ancient city. After realizing that her passion for the ancient world and languages was founded in the opportunity to understand and relate information, Ruthann decided to pursue a degree in GIS. Ruthann has worked in a variety of geospatial positions including production, analysis, and solution design. She relishes the opportunity to work on projects that unite her passion for the outdoors with her GIS knowledge and skills.
