Soham holds a Bachelors of Science degree in GIS/Geography from the University of Toronto (2011) and a GIS Applications Specialist Postgraduate Certificate from Sir Sandford Fleming College (2012) .

He has been working as a GIS Specialist at the County of Grey for the past 3 years focusing on many projects related to economic development. His presentation at URISA will focus on a web GIS application that he has created using the ArcGIS Online Web App Builder, which allows users to visualize active real estate listings along with current and future socio- economic trends in the County of Grey and the County of Bruce. This application has been displayed on the ESRI Canada User Apps Gallery. Also, this app was part of the ESRI Canada webinar on Economic Development and even made an entry into the 2016 ESRI International Conference User App Fair in San Diego.

The data presented in this app has been acquired from local real estate boards and ESRI's ArcGIS Online Content (Environics Analytics). Socio-demographic data in this app is available at the finest scale of Statistics Canada’s Census Dissemination Areas (CDAs).
